Setting up Back Up power Generation
Generaide has supplied a 275kVA generating system to provide back up power to the Dili University when power is lost. Dili being the capital city of Timor Leste still loses power. This happened twice over the 4 days our team was in Dili. This confirms the need for the back up power to the university to ensure the education for the young people of Timor Leste can continue during these episodes.
When the Generaide team visited the Timor Catholic University they met the Priests, Administration personal and the Cardinal of Timor Leste. During this meeting we all spoke about the potential of what this gifted generator could do to help Timor Leste University become self sustainable.
Eddie and his team from Leeuwin Care have constructed a sound proof stand alone room to house this generator at the University.
